৬১. আর যখন তোমরা বললে, ‘হে মূসা! আমরা কেবল (মান্না ও সালওয়ার মতো) এক খাবারে কখনো ধৈর্য ধারণ করতে পারি না, সুতরাং আপনি আপনার প্রতিপালকের নিকট (আমাদের অনুকূলে) প্রার্থনা করুন যাতে তিনি আমাদের জন্যে ভূমি থেকে উদ্গত বস্তুসমূহ থেকে সবজি, শসা, গম, রসূন, ডাল ও পিঁয়াজ উৎপন্ন করে দেন। (মূসা আলাইহিস সালাম স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে) বললেন, ‘তোমরা কি উত্তম বস্তুর পরিবর্তে এমন বস্তু কামনা করছো যা তুচ্ছ?
৫৮. আর (স্মরণ করো) যখন আমরা বললাম, ‘এ শহরে প্রবেশ করো এবং তাতে যেখান থেকে ইচ্ছা, প্রাণভরে স্বাচ্ছন্দে আহার করো; আর (শহরের) প্রবেশদ্বারে সেজদাবনত অবস্থায় প্রবেশ করো এবং বলো, ‘(হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক!

৯২. আর (অবস্থা এরকম যে,) তোমাদের নিকট (স্বয়ং) মূসা (আলাইহিস সালাম) সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন নিয়ে এসেছিলেন, অথচ তাঁর অনুপস্থিতিতে তোমরা বাছুরকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছিলে। আর তোমরা (প্রকৃতপক্ষে) অত্যাচারীই।

৯৪. বলে দিন, ‘যদি আল্লাহ্র নিকট পরকালের গৃহ কেবল তোমাদের জন্যেই বিশেষভাবে সংরক্ষিত থাকে, অন্য লোকদের জন্যে নয়; তবে (নির্ভয়ে) মৃত্যু কামনা করো, যদি তোমরা (নিজেদের ধারণানুযায়ী) সত্যবাদী হও।’
